KLEINE FRIEDENSFAHRT
Otto Sperling/Frösi, Eastern Germany, 1977
Here is another Friedensfahrt (aka Peace Race) game published by Frösi, Pioniermagazin für Mädchen und Jungen, a kid's magazine from the former German Democratic Republic. There are at least two more such games, one published in 1959 and another in 1969, but of course there may be more that I have not spotted yet.
As you can see, the game represents a stage race. There are five different stages, with different rules for each, though of course all of them are very simple. The stages are (loosely translated): 1 Time Trial; 2 Obstacle Race; 3 Mountain Stage; 4 Circuit Stage; 5 Hard Final Stage. The overall winner of the game is the rider who wins more stages.
The description of the final stage ("Die Defekthexe misch mit!") is hard to translate. "Defekthexe" is, if I understand it well, an imaginary witch responsible for the problems (or bad luck) that happen during a cycling race.

The game is not printed on the inner pages of the magazine but rather on the inside of the (sturdiest) cover, which makes it easily detachable. As a result, you may find this game without the rest of the magazine, as is the case here.
However, in case you are interested, more than 200 issues of this magazine are available from the Internet Archive, including this one. You can download the full magazine here (PDF file, 56 Mb; beware the link may not work on some browsers; contact me if you have problems).
Thanks Daniela & Thomas for this game
